Bribie Island
Welcome to our little piece of paradise

Bribie Island showcases the natural beauty the Moreton Bay Region offers. It is a perfect location for a family holiday, a weekend getaway, or even a new place to call home!

The island has many national parks (including some with camping facilities) surf beaches and calmer, protected beaches, and some brilliant fishing spots to explore. Theres also a great variety of restaurants and accommodation, making Bribie a destination that has everything you need for a relaxing (or exciting) day trip or holiday.

Bribie Island is home to the Pumicestone Passage, a protected marine park and haven for wildlife. Dugongs, turtles, dolphins, and a diverse range of birdlife call the Pumicestone Passage home. There are tours of the gorgeous passage with fascinating commentary to match that are available.

To see some Australian wildlife, head to the Bribie Island National Park to find goannas, kangaroos, emus, kookaburras and migrating birds from Kakadu. If you explore the national parks, please make sure to take only photos, and leave only footprints.

The scenic foreshore at Bongaree is an excellent spot for a family outing. There are plenty of picnic facilities, shady areas, and boat ramps. There is also calm water for the kids to splash around and enjoy themselves in. Theres also a flying fox at Brennan Park for some extra fun.

Bribie isnt just for the family. There are also options for adventurous types. You can try out jet-skiing, hire a boat and go fishing, or hire paddleboards, electric bicycles, segways or surry bikes. If that sounds overwhelming, perhaps youll have to book a holiday to properly scratch the surface of what Bribie has to offer.

Alternatively, head over to Woorim Beach, one of the closest patrolled surf beaches to Brisbane. If you own a four-wheel-drive you can also explore Bribie Island National Park from the beach.

Bribie Island is the only Queensland island connected to the mainland by bridge. This allows easy access by car, about an hour and 20 minutes drive from the Brisbane Central Business District.
